Pros

Let me be very frank in my opinion without any bias.. First of all Softtek India Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of Softtek, Mexico. Erstwhile Systech Integrators was acquired by Softtek and named as Softtek India Pvt Ltd... Softtek India is a ridiculous company run by incompetent people and lousy management.. HARDLY ANY PROS that i can identify so far... If at all i have to for the sake of mentioning is that you get your salary on last day of month.. thats all... if thats what motivates you then join without second invitation

Cons

The HR and Recruitment department is one of the most inefficient departments in softtek India.. The only department which looks to be good is back office operations team especially which process Payroll of US candidates... Marcom team is a burden for the company. Technology teams have no long term projects as they chip in with some mexican/american projects which is of low quality.. IT Team is trying their best, but they do not have any talented/visionary folks in their team.. Recruitment team is another pathetic team with bunch of most unprofessional folks, most of them are managers but do low end reportings. Sales team is helpless without any visions from their superiors. Overall if you are looking for a permanent long term job, this is NOT the company for you... If you want a stop gap arrangement or if you are jobless for some time then prefer this as a last option.. but still do not recommend to anyone.. No proper training for anyone, apart from some stupid mandatory useless online trainings..

Pros

Salary on time. Cab Facilities. Work from home based on your work (if at all any work or project is there) Flexibility

Cons

No projects. This company especially Bangalore India office has no vision. No Onsite Your ideas, technical or management skills DO NOT MATTER here. You just need to be a slave to mexicans. No proper HR policies or help from HR. Sourcing or HRA is incapable to take proper decisions, they just rely upon Mexican's order. Hire and Fire attitude with managers and HRA. No job security, you can be fired at any time. If you are on bench consider you will be out soon. Mexican based brainless cheap management. This is a Mexican based company, they say themselves as cmm level 5 but their quality is not to that mark. Mexicans managers are brainless , without apt management skills. This might affect you everyday's work and you wont have peaceful work culture. Mostly all Mexicans lack technical or management or even decision making skills. So if they see you growing they will stop your career growth. Indian management has no power here, they behave like slaves to mexicans accepting whatever they say.

Pros

If you are a recent graduate, have no experience and no one else is willing to hire you, then Softtek might be an option, and only for a while, meanwhile you acquire experience. Otherwise, keep away from this "company".

Cons

First of all, Softtek claims to be a global company, which is nothing but a lie. You will never be able to get a letter certifying that you are a Softtek employee, since, in order to avoid paying taxes, Softtek creates different company names and you are under the payroll of one of those companies. So in order to avoid legal issues, they will not acknowledge you as a Softtek employee, meaning you actually work for an unknown company. This will later on impact your career, your resume and you will never get seniority. Secondly, the payment will never be clear, they will calculate a final salary and will hide, skip and avoid paying you any other benefit. You will never get PTU which is actually required by law, but only after the second year of the company, that is one of the reasons why Softtek will create and drop company names, so that you cannot claim for PTU. Then they will only report part of your salary to IMSS and INFONAVIT, that if you're lucky, otherwise nothing. Third, HR totally sucks. They will be kind when trying to fill out a position, then they will forget about you, will not answer your emails, and since their hands are tied for several things (mainly trying to avoid legal problems as a consequence of the different company names, management, etc.) they will refuse to help you as much as they can. Fourth, their middle management are nothing but sellers. They are similar to those pyramid scheme collaborators. Their main effort is to get as many people in their projects, for which Softtek will obviously charge the customer. But they don't care about getting the right people, nor getting the most out of those people, and overall they will never care about people but about numbers. That, if told at the beginning is ok, but they actually try to sell you the idea that they care much about people, don't bite it! Fifth, no matter how hard Blanca tries to deny it, Softtek's best advantage against competition is the cost, so they will bargain on your salary as they would do at any swap meet. Sixth, many people in the industry know about Softtek's flaws, so if you're planning to continue in consulting, Softtek will not look good on your resume. Finally, top management are people with very poor resumes who are good for selling, but know nothing about managing. I would say working at Softtek is like working at the limbo. If you want to be a freelancer, try other companies that will be honest telling you about their payment schemes and about not giving you benefits but most likely you will be able to negotiate a salary that will make it up for the lack of benefits. Not with Softtek which will lie about giving you benefits which are already included in your salary, meaning you actually have no benefits at all. So you will have a lower salary, no benefits and absolutely no company name that will hold your back.
