Pros

Helpful coworkers Good only for gathering work experience required for Permanent Residency

Cons

The job is extremely stressful and you get bombarded with unrealistic expectations from both customers and your managers. Pay is shamefully low and it's even less than many regular customer service jobs. They overwhelm you with a huge workload and doesn't allow you to take a breath. They always ask you to work mandatory overtime and you have no rights to object. Sherweb has two faced managers and supervisors that smile in front of you and stab you in the back. You must always be careful not to do any mistakes because they don't want their client to be bothered by even an epsilon. Work life balance is nothing but a joke at Sherweb. You come to Sherweb, forget about everything you had in your normal life. Work life balance is below zero there. Most of the agents working at Sherweb are there to gain required experience for permanent residency. After that, they leave the job forever and never apply for a similar role. If you want to apply for your permanent residency, Sherweb is not even the best company. Do a bit of research and you'll find other companies for that which are definitely better than Sherweb.

Pros

They put a lot of work into making it look and feel like a nice place to be, they have plinko, table tennis etc but that's where the pros end.

Cons

Complete lack of support from management. Obsessed with KPIs / metrics to a point that it simply becomes detrimental to the job. PIP (performance improvement plans) are used as a threat rather than the tool it is designed to be. Senior staff have an air of "knowing everything" but if you attempt to get assistance or support you will hear unhelpful phrases like "you got this" "we have faith in you etc..." Very hollow experience working with the management there, everyone feels like a prop more than the "one big happy family" they try to cultivate High rate of staff turnover, anyone qualified or worth a damn in their field will leave quickly. Even saw one member of staff go on suicide watch over the stress of working in what is essentially a really fancy looking call center. Save yourself the trouble and apply elsewhere.

Pros

People who work at Sherweb are friendly!

Cons

The company is all about saving money, even if it means cutting back on employee benefits. When someone hands in their notice, the company realized it owed them some money. So, a couple of years ago, they started giving extra time off each year, likely to avoid paying out unused vacation days when employees leave. But some folks still managed to get a few days' worth of pay, so starting in 2024, the company changed the vacation calendar to begin on January 1 instead of May 1. This move resulted in employees taking less time off for the year to avoid paying out benefits. The company is now hiring mostly from India because it's cheaper, but this may compromise the quality of work due to potential cultural and communication barriers with the North American market. When it comes to benefits, the company used to offer Blue Cross insurance, but they switched to a cheaper plan and tried to make it sound like it was a better deal for employees. Salaries are reportedly low, making it tough for some employees to support their families. No company uses performance improvement plans (PIPs) quite frequently as Sherweb, there are people who finish their initial training and onboarding with a PIP lol, this tells you they need people to work irrespective of the quality. Don't just rely on Glassdoor for reviews; check out Reddit too to see what customers are saying about Sherweb. My advice is to do your homework before signing on with this company. Make sure you know what you're getting into and consider multiple sources, not just this review!
