If you do not stick to the status quo, you will be reprimanded and ridiculed. This applies both in your work and in your personal life (yes, execs are that invasive). Expect gaslighting on a regular basis if you don't fall in line.
In the event that you do run into difficult coworkers, employees learn to either "deal with it" or "have an open conversation with the offender." Doing the latter will backfire, and backfire hard. Take up a hobby or keep a stress ball in your drawer.

Loyal employees that have been with the company since the beginning have begun to leave. Disgruntled employees are either numb to these changes or begin to act erratically, making work difficult and tense for others.
