Pros
Remote work 6 days in office a month Very repetitive A paycheck Unlimited pto Decent stepping stone for a better firm
Cons
Horrible training: no clear indication on what to do in the beginning, a lot of figuring it out yourself. Aggressive coworkers: depending on your team, i had some cool people that i personally worked with but some of the guys on my team were rude and demeaning even when i still knew more than them. They operated like the flip of a switch and would go off on you for no reason then be nice to you out of no where… No bonus. No raise. ($0.00) I worked 12 hour days for 4 months during busy season and had no life. I worked as hard as possible to meet business demands as we were severely under staffed and with no guidance. The low performance review was the added insult to injury that i needed to mentally check out. I take great pride in my work and what i do and this hurt to see that i wasnt being even remotely recognized for the good i was doing. I was expected to do more while receiving no guidance. If you don't believe me just work here… Management was out of touch with their employees and expectations were unreal. Technology at this company is severely and i mean severely outdated. Not sure how were still a leader in fund admin when our programs barely work for the better half of the day. Our tech support is horrendous and they take no initiative until after I escalate to my MDs to fix my pc. My advice: only take the upper 20% of your salary band for a starter salary as it will be tough to get a raise or even a respectable bonus. Plan as if you wont get a bonus/raise for a year or two. I would not recommend this company to anyone that i care about and i certainly will not be coming back. Take that as you will. I consider myself a professional and i did not feel that this firm did not match my values and aspirations.
