      Pros

      Root is made up of a group of very intelligent, very creative people. It challenges you to be your creative best. The company is very client centric and will find a way to say yes to most client requests. The HQ is a creative client destination that is very impressive.

      Cons

      Work/life balance at Root is non-existent for any role that is client facing. This is one area where the company does not practice what it preaches. Also, for many roles at Root, a career path is unclear or unavailable. Often times employees are looking for upward movement that is not available to them. Senior Leadership is not as experienced or skilled compared to other organizations in the industry.

      Pros

      The people. They really are wanting to make a change in people's lives, they all care. They are just some of the most amazing, creative, smart people I've ever met. Client deliverables and creativity are fantastic.

      Cons

      The leadership is not good at all, they barely have time for anyone, and some of the leadership is severely inappropriate when it comes to responding to negative situations (which there are A LOT of negative client situations). The negatively from higher-ups causes a lot of stress and negatively on you personally. The amount of work everyone has to give truly harms your personal life. Work-life balance has no meaning here, its just work. Clients mean everything here. We deliver some of the most incredible work for the clients but at the huge expense of our employees. Little room for promotions and raises, but you usually end up doing the work of someone that should be in a higher position.

      Pros

      Lots of opportunity to gain experience, engaged corporate culture, transparent leadership. You will be given all the support and opportunity to succeed as you want. You'll pick up skills that will help you in any role you pursue after.

      Cons

      Work life balance will always be an issue. You will travel and work long hours. The value of the work itself is really hard to identify. Some of the solutions you work on can feel pretty silly.
