While there were some positive aspects to my time, there were also a few challenges that made the experience a little less than ideal.
The hiring process involved multiple stages, beginning with an initial verbal phone conversation, followed by a video submission where I answered a series of questions. I then attended two in-person interviews—one lasting around two hours and the other nearly three hours. I felt this was very in depth and rigorous which came across as overly critical at times.
The ‘key sales time’ proved quite difficult for me. I have always found colder sales quite invasive and not something I get along with however, I know some people can excel with this!
One of the issues once I got the job was the high expectations placed on employees, especially for those coming in with little or no experience.
I found it difficult to build the necessary skills and confidence to perform well in the role.
Overall, while there were some positives, I believe there’s room for improvement in terms of training, support, and work culture.
