Pros

I had a job until I could do better.

Cons

I was hired and promised all types of training and advancement opportunities but what actually happen was that I was hired onto a sinking ship.. The contract was pulled away only weeks after my start date. Some employee's where walked out of the agency like criminals all because this company had no processes or standards in place.

Pros

Great benefits package...Several Gov. contracts

Cons

Management is very poorly chosen and have a very small knowledge base and understanding of industry standards. I read all of the company reviews before I started working for Powertek. So far, all of the management complaints are spot on. The incompetence displayed so far is so evident, I find myself frustrated at the idea of having to continue on for much longer with Powertek.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you like the Benefits package and believe it is a very competitive Benefit offering that goes above industry standard. We are sorry to hear that your experience has not been as positive as most of our employees enjoy, and would encourage you to discuss your concerns with your direct manager, or escalate them to the Human Resources department as per our grievance policy. We understand that changes in workflow process or policy can be frustrating, but please know that we make such changes only after much discussion and deliberation. As a CMMI and ISO certified company, policy and process can feel more rigorous or structured than some employees are used to, but the end result for the customer is very positive. We encourage you to speak with your manager or HR regarding your specific concerns and hope your experience has gotten better since you wrote this review.

Pros

Government Contracts, big projects, quality of service, employee training. Their annual Christmas Party, gives employees a lot of rewards for their work during the working fiscal year, as well as reward employees with trips, electronics, computers and extra money. They do monthly "employee of the month" reviews, the more of these you rack up, the better opportunities you have to be successful at the deployement you work at, if not the company itself.

Cons

poor management, under average managers, bad communication between management and employees. Management do not listen to suggestions from employees of their team. There is too much red tape. They try to satisfy the custumer, without taking in consideration the expertise of the team they have on board managing the client. Competition is tough sometimes unfair. Employees can bandwagon against someone they don't like often spreading lies about performance to upper management.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear you valued the employee training, and enjoyed the annual holiday celebration and awards events. We really do try to provide a nice break for our employees a few times a year to get together and have fun, and recognize our stellar employees. These events often also serve as a time for us to give back to the community through programs like Toys for Tots, and you should see the excellent participation we got this year! We also appreciate you pointing out the Star Awards, our employee awards program that provides spot recognition for employees who have gone above and beyond. Employee morale is very important to us, as we truly believe our employees are our biggest asset. We are sorry to hear that your experience was not as positive as most of our employees have enjoyed, but think you’ll be happy to hear that we’ve taken great strides toward enhancing our employee communication efforts, with the introduction of a quarterly newsletter, the launch of a company SharePoint portal, regular updates via email and social media, and consistent communication between project managers and their teams. Again, thank you for your input.
