I have been working at PepsiCo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits; bonus yearly at Xmas and the mid-year bonus, salary was good. The staff are lovely, the management are efficient and approachable.

    Cons

Can be a little bit like other companies i.e. you need to be showing your worth (but they reward that) so you will sometimes have people showboating.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Flexible working hours -Casual dress code -Good defined contribution pension -Great culture, friendly people at all levels -Finish at 2pm every Friday -Free products each month

    Cons

-Career progression is almost non existent in Cork. Regardless of how well you perform, promotions don’t exist; you need to wait for someone in a more senior role to leave their role to apply for it - and that’s assuming you’re interested in applying. -Opportunity does however exist to work remotely from Cork into more global roles, and to relocate internationally - both of which will progress your career, but advancing your career in PepsiCo being based in a team in Cork is not possible, so very much a stepping stone for most people based on this. -Lots of people in management roles for many years. Blocking lots of people. Due to the above points - these people aren’t going anywhere either, but they acknowledge and accept that, which eliminates opportunities for everyone else. Lots of people in roles for 5+ years. -Because people have worked there so long, the management team have little insight as to modern processes and technology. Most processes are very outdated. Difficult to get these changed internally.
