Hi there, Please accept my apologies that you didn't receive a response to this after the time of your review. I appreciate some time has now passed since this review was left, but your points are very important. I am so sorry that working at Nomensa gave you depression and suicidal thoughts. The importance of looking after the mental health and wellbeing of our people is of paramount to us. Since this review in 2018, we have invested in Mental Health First Aiders and Wellbeing Officers in order to support our staff, as well as access to mental wellbeing support through our EAP and BUPA Wellbeing scheme. We also try our very best to ensure colleagues feel they can be open if they are struggling with their mental wellbeing in any way so that they can be supported. I appreciate some time has passed since this review, but I really hope this situation has improved. If you still work for Nomensa and have any suggestions on how we can be supporting colleagues, or more specifically supporting mental health and wellbeing, we would always like our staff to feel they can make suggestions. If you feel you can speak about your experience with us, please contact me on careers@nomensa.com. Thank you. Sophie Talent Acquisition Manager

Pros

Some of the people were excellent, against all the odds. And the fresh fruit every day is a lie, bananas are never seen past Tuesday, leaving only apples. Yech.

Cons

While beautiful on the outside, seemingly honest and open environment, it doesn't take long to be backstabbed or thrown under the bus. Management of the company is very much detached from reality, and I don't mean just the C-level, but as much, if not more so on the Project/Line manager. I watched them with stunned disbelief listen to my "revelations" on how actual projects and schedules run. Sadly, despite having a chat about it almost every week, nothing has changed so one day I just didn't come back — the first time in my long career.

Thank you for taking the time to share your views of your experience at Nomensa, we always appreciate feedback. We wholeheartedly agree with you that our people are our best asset and are certainly what makes us. Creating a positive working environment for all is really important to us – even though we must admit we can’t control team eating habits. We are always looking to continually improve how we work. So, if you are open to it and now some time has passed, it would be really great if we could have another chat to talk through any other feedback you may have to make sure that things are dealt with better going forward. Thank you.

Pros

- Owned and run by some very smart people who, so long as things are going well, will provide encouragement, rewards and loads of praise. - Tend to employ very smart, capable people who, so long as things are going well, can expect career progression and exciting opportunities. - They try to have a great company culture and tick lots of boxes, with lots of social events and fun things to do. - Regularly turn out impressive results for clients and produce work to a very high standard

Cons

- If things aren't going well, the emphasis is very much on what those involved are doing wrong, rather than what the company can do to help. - Employees who find themselves with problematic clients or projects seem to get given less promising opportunities, presumably on the assumption that those doing well will do better with the best opportunities, but frequently leading to a vicious circle for those not favoured in that way. - No one expects complete loyalty in a business but the way that someone can go from being part of the Chosen Few to being ostracised and made to feel unwelcome is very unpleasant to see.
