Pros

Some nice people to work with... that's about it

Cons

It's all about the bottom line. Work harder, faster, more hours... but then get lectured for doing so much overtime, because they don't want to pay your overtime hour. This company will overload you with mundane analysis, fail to teach you anything knew, no matter how well you do your job, and pay you poorly and speak down to you. NOT to mention the fact that management will ask you to sacrifice your scientific integrity by asking you to falsify data to make clients happy! Oh, and did I mention they lie to their environmental auditors. They do not have a safe work environment either. The emergency shower? nope, filled with boxes. Emergency shower = Storage closet. What about the un-vented combustion oven in the basement? No proper eyewash stations, so on and so forth. This place is a joke. The only reason they stay in business is because they manage to find hard working kids straight out of school who need the work and they cater to making clients happy rather than reporting real data. Also, it is really interesting to hear that "women belong in the office not the laboratory" Nothing like peppering in a little old school chauvinism to really keep things interesting.

Pros

- monthly pizza parties - Great coworkers, friendly and fun work environment with peers - Good experience in different fields

Cons

- Refused to allow pronouns in email signature, despite working with trans clients. Cared very little about inclusivity, said it wasn’t the type of business they wanted to be - Main manager did little work, came and went as he pleased - Lab staff overworked, and underpaid. I was paid more than lab staff who had been there significantly longer -Managers would leave despite the lab being backed up and needing to stay late themselves - Poor support when staff quit, leaving everyone more work - HIGH turnaround
