Thank you for sharing this valuable feedback. I am grateful for your perspective on our organization and my leadership. There is no question we are experiencing an unprecedented time in this country and I acknowledge it has not only affected those we serve but those, like you and our broader team, who serve the community. And burnout, especially in the non-profit world, is a very real challenge and something I am committed to addressing. Our success is dependent on our employees’ success and I need to know when more support is needed or change is necessary. Even in a virtual environment, we continue to maintain an Open-Door Policy because I want you to feel comfortable sharing critical feedback. And potential solutions. I agree we have ambitious goals to do more for the communities we serve. That growth can be uncomfortable at times, but we are mission-focused and in this together. I am listening, I hear you and my door is always open. Bertina

Pros

I worked within our Managed Services Department providing remote IT support for out Non Profit Clients. I worked with a great team in my department where we all learned from each other and help each other build out technical skills.

Cons

Management lost sight of delivering services to our client in a quest to grown the amount of clients we had and sell a service beyond our ability. Basically they wanted to keep growing the amount of clients we had and not hire more technical staff to meet the workload.

Pros

Scrappy non-profit staff that makes it all come together no matter what for the good of the students. The staff have a genuine desire to see the students succeed. The mission is noble and the staff are hardworking. There is also a ton of room for innovation which is a definite plus for someone looking to think outside the box.

Cons

The leadership team is disconnected and does not have a grasp on the amount of work their teams do daily before they commit them to more. This organization is still in never ending startup scrappy non-profit mode due to poor planning and execution on the leadership side. Growth is good but growth without diligent planning it just causes unending growing pains. Probably the biggest con of all is the level of gossip and lack of professionalism at the leadership level. No one should be afraid that questions or complaints will get back to coworkers or their managers. If you express a concern you better believe your manager will hear it all word for word within the hour. There is a difference between questioning to investigate and them just relaying what you think would be a confidential conversation. They fully arm management with just enough information to turn things around to make you the employee with performance issues.
