Pros

Previously had a strong, stable work environment largely because of the former boss who held the company together. Before the management change, the team included skilled designers who contributed positively to the company’s image.

Cons

Major decline after one of the former boss left, she was the one maintaining design, balance and professionalism. Severe micromanagement now. No work-life balance. Chronic delayed commissions justified by repeated “cash flow issues.” Staff often had to chase for payments, and those who left saw their remaining commissions cut with various excuses. - Workplace culture includes insensitive remarks. - Very rigid, traditional environment. - Management regularly attends a program called POP, leading to condescending behaviour and talking down to staff. Current management are all not design-trained, resulting in poor design judgment and a noticeable drop in company image after trained designers left.

Toxic

Pros

Honestly? None. Used to be good when previous founder was there to balance things out with humanity and understanding.

Cons

This company was the most toxic workplace I’ve ever experienced. Sexist attitudes were constant, creating an environment that felt demeaning and uncomfortable. Opinions, ideas, and professional input meant nothing. In my experience, the bosses always believed they knew best, treated others like they were stupid, and dismissed any constructive feedback. Work–life balance didn’t exist. Designers were expected to be in-office Monday–Friday during full hours AND still meet clients on weekends, with no time off in lieu and no flexibility at all. Commission handling felt inconsistent and unclear - deductions (in my experience) seemed arbitrary and influenced by how much you stayed in the boss’s good favor. Most critically, the entire place revolved around the bosses’ obsession with enrichment classes, which operated like a cult. If you didn’t participate, you were made to feel excluded and judged - it created a pressured, uncomfortable atmosphere that had nothing to do with work. If you value your time, creativity, boundaries, or mental health, please choose another company. I truly wish someone had warned me sooner.

Worst Work Culture

Pros

A few colleagues were supportive and tried their best despite the environment and I don’t think they work there anymore.

Cons

The work culture is extremely unhealthy — constant stress, unclear expectations, and poor communication from leadership. Decisions are top-down with little transparency or reasoning behind them. Employees are often left confused or working in fear of making mistakes. Feedback is not welcomed. Raising concerns is seen as “complaining,” and issues are swept under the rug instead of fixed. Work-life balance is non-existent. Unrealistic deadlines and last-minute requests are very common. High turnover, and many good people leave quickly because nothing improves.
