Some great colleagues. You get paid a monthly salary. You build resilience and learn how to cope with being bullied at work. The company supports “Mind” the mental health charity. It’s enjoyable when you leave.
Cons
This employer sets the bar low for all future workplaces and offers the absolute bare minimum an employer should provide in a workplace. The company specialises in natural ventilation but seem unable to open a window let alone ventilate their own office space. Summer is unbearably hot in every part of the office and ironically the stale uncirculated air is the only thing that greets you as you walk through the entrance. There is no respite to be had in hybrid working which is dangled as a carrot on joining and then selectively withdrawn as a favoured form of punishment for any deviation of the numerous petty rules. Mentoring, constructive feedback, continuous improvement, reward and recognition are not phrases ever heard in this office. The toxic culture of blame is relentless and if any minor mistake is discovered you hear a stampede of managers as they hurry to the meeting rooms to discuss the offender, the person responsible then gets the full public shaming ritual. Its hard to describe the company culture as there really isn’t one apart from survival of the fittest. This is not the company to work for if you wish to thrive and advance your career this is an unevolved depressing place where your career becomes as stagnant as the airless office.
