Pros

Free sodas in the break room.

Cons

Every single thing I witnessed about this company has been a disaster, starting as early as my interview. They dropped the ball several time throughout my interview and onboarding process; they missed scheduled interview appointments, didn't properly communicate which interviews were in-person versus video calls either to myself or the hiring manager, went a week between a verbal offer and a written one, and more. Once I started my first day, I was immediately made aware of the toxic work culture. I have seen infighting and gossip in every other job I have ever had, but I have never experienced it so suddenly and intensely as I did during my first week at Meriplex. I was also surprised to see how siloed and disorganized certain departments were; surely one of many lasting consequences resulting from this company's recent aggressive series of acquisitions. Another of these consequences reared its ugly head not long after: layoffs. Leading up to and during Thanksgiving week, sales and business development teams were decimated. I was thankful that my team made it through the holidays, but not much longer. We were given an abrupt announcement today (February 5) that all of marketing would be outsourced, and a big chunk (possibly all) of our team was subsequently let go. The worst part? None of marketing's leaders were in the office when it happened. Nobody in my chain of command was willing to look us in the eyes and tell us what they were doing to us and why. They just had HR do it for them, while they stayed at home. So now, because of how poorly things have been run, I had to go home less than half a year after my first day and tell my family that I've already lost my job. As this has just happened today, I acknowledge that I'm writing this with emotion, but the events that I've described here are exactly as they have happened. If you're considering taking a job at Meriplex, do yourself--AND YOUR FAMILY--a favor and pass this one up.

Pros

You can pay your bills?

Cons

Don't waste your time working at this MSP, they only care about profits and are completely fine with a high turnover rate with hiring people who do not understand IT at ALL... Management without stock options has quit for other work. (Every manager quit except for the part owner) and those roles have been replaced with Indvidual's who have no understanding of our clients or workflow. They will pay you as little as possible and allow some people to work remote and others are forbidden even with the same job title. If anything, use this company as a stepping stone for better opportunities but you will get paid the same working at Mcdonalds in CA.

A hot mess - Avoid

Pros

It is certainly a rapidly growing company, so if you want to be a part of that growth that may be a plus for you...

Cons

Like many MSPs, Meriplex grows through acquisitions. This is all well and good, but they seem to have a singular goal of becoming the largest MSP in the US, which as a company they seem to be focused on only that alone and not operations. My supervisors did a great job given their resources, But communication past that point was abysmal, making it exceedingly difficult to get the help your client needed. Many times I was left in utter amazement at just how badly various things were handled, from migrations, to communications and so on. I sometimes wondered if they were being bad on purpose as I could not imagine things being this bad on accident. I worked for one of the companies that were acquired and watched as it was run into the ground. Clients realized this and began jumping ship as well. Sometimes new management would be assigned to our client without taking the time to understand them, this would result in absolutely awful decisions such as recommending the client migrating to a hybrid exchange environment. Amidst all this I would also regularly get invitations to a provided lunch or employee appreciation events multiple states away... I would get different answers from HR from different people and sometimes received wrong info. If you have other options I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.
