      Pros

      Matrix is a good starting point for any budding web developers looking for a start. Interns are essentially thrown in the deep end in terms of projects and tasks which offers a good learning curve.

      Cons

      Expected to work long hours for very little reward. Preference is given to certain employees whilst hard work and effort from others is routinely overlooked. Senior employees are given free reign to make disparaging comments to other employees. Taking a full lunch break is often met with negative comments. No salary progression or growth opportunities.

      - you will make friends - sick pay - remote working

      Cons

      - no room for growth - very deceitful managers - not even 20 days holiday since they take from that to close the company over Christmas - no benefits - no culture

      Pros

      The effort put in is remembered and rewarded. If you prefer a long-term relationship, this is your gig. The main boss Jeff is a very tactful and resourceful guy with a lot of empathy for whatever your life circumstances are, and he strives to bring people with him and to set the company tone accordingly, which seems to be working well.

      Cons

      Matrix is a small company, so employees are less likely to be able to "hide in the crowd". If you expect to just sit out your 9-5 to get the salary over the line, you may not do as well as somebody who doesn't mind to put the effort in, go the extra mile, and row with the rest of the team.
