Pros

Pay is satisfactory. The people although sometimes moronic are decent people. Office is pleasant. Your experience will largely be defined by what team/department you work in. I was lucky in that my team leader and manager were very easy to work for and incredibly flexible and understanding with all their team. A shame this ethos isn’t extended to the whole company.

Cons

The work itself is largely dull, monotonous and void of any creativity or free thought. A lot of the management at best devoid of leadership, and at worst cretinous. The irony of certain individuals promoting leadership courses was somewhat lost on them. There is an inability amongst some managers to accept responsibility and to lead by example, and a strong culture of passing the buck. Other reviews allude to an environment which rather than punishes workplace bullying, sexual harassment or misogyny, it prefers to sweep it under the rug. I personally haven’t experienced this but I have heard of the experiences of others - and even if management feels the claims are exaggerated or made by disgruntled employees, I feel that for anyone to leave a place of work feeling like that is something to be investigated, rather than something to be dismissed. With a female CEO, you would think that gender equality would be championed, but as far as I can tell it is lacking and can be vastly improved.

Incompetent leadership

Pros

Some great and passionate people working here. The office is nice and modern, and you don't have to go in regularly. Work/life balance isn't too bad

Cons

I don't think I have ever met so many incompetent people in leadership positions in any company I have worked for. Many have been here for over a decade, are incapable of embracing change and simply have no idea how a modern organisation should run. The most ridiculous decisions are made then people are overworked trying to fit to these deadlines. In short, nobody has a clue what they are doing. Most importantly, the leadership team do not know how to lead. Diversity is an issue a mjor issue - majority of people working here are white middle class, and it is something that is being completely ignored by all. They tend to promote from within which means that some people not ready for higher positions are given them, and no fresh ideas and opportunities are brought to the table - the same ideas are recycled year on year. The company and the leadership are stale and it makes a frustrating organisation to work for.

Pros

- some very nice people - modern offices and equipment - people are passionate about the work they do

Cons

- do not seem to care much about employees - old boys club of middle class men - lack of diversity especially at senior levels - gender imbalance at senior levels possibly linked to poor maternity related benefits -casual racialised comments which do not have a place in modern working environments
