Demoralising and Bullying Culture - Avoid at all costs!
29 Dec 2022 - Anonymous/Employee in London, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Competitive salary - Home working - Some brilliant colleagues - Interesting work on offer
Cons
- Bullying behaviour by some seniors (a known contingent of “mean girls” is ignored by Head of Dept/ tacitly accepted, leading to an awful culture, particularly for juniors. -The said bullies are this emboldened in the insidious grinding down of their supervisees knowing they are “untouchable”. Many (particularly juniors) have previously left due to the atrocious behaviour of these individuals. Truly disgusting and an indictment of senior level apathy. - People are not valued and respected by a detached senior leadership who are utterly out of touch. A definite sense of expecting people of “stay in their lane”. -No real team culture and camaraderie (though that wasn’t always so under previous leadership) - Lack of consideration and respect for diversity and casual racism flourishes in many quarters. - Policies only exist for lip service and little else. - Only thrive on monopoly in sector or would otherwise have gone belly up long ago.

Incompetent leadership
19 Jan 2023 - Anonymous Employee in London, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Some great and passionate people working here. The office is nice and modern, and you don't have to go in regularly. Work/life balance isn't too bad
Cons
I don't think I have ever met so many incompetent people in leadership positions in any company I have worked for. Many have been here for over a decade, are incapable of embracing change and simply have no idea how a modern organisation should run. The most ridiculous decisions are made then people are overworked trying to fit to these deadlines. In short, nobody has a clue what they are doing. Most importantly, the leadership team do not know how to lead. Diversity is an issue a mjor issue - majority of people working here are white middle class, and it is something that is being completely ignored by all. They tend to promote from within which means that some people not ready for higher positions are given them, and no fresh ideas and opportunities are brought to the table - the same ideas are recycled year on year. The company and the leadership are stale and it makes a frustrating organisation to work for.

12 Feb 2023 - IT Support AnalystRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Some of the staff was super friendly and supportive.
Cons
Management don’t care about your well-being. All they care about was tickets and phone calls. The IT systems was shocking they’re old, out dated not to mention very unreliable! They have people in management position that as no communication skills.

The MDU is going through a time of change, both in people and technology. This will take time to fully integrate but the work of various teams is ensuring people are happy and we are doing the best thing for the members.
Cons
Change take time, and there will be uncomfortable periods, but this is all for the better of the company and the memebrs

No payrise in nearly 3 years, poor management and trainers who don't know what they're doing and openly slack off. Feedback is never taken on board.
