Inability to adhere to work place safety and fire safety regulations, concerns were not taken seriously, the work place is a mess and equipment is poorly if ever maintained. Fire exits are blocked and fire extinguishers are often out of date, there is also a lack of first aid supplies on site.
Little to no additional staff to cover anything more than daily operations, expect to be working well past your 8 hour shift as they do not have dedicated road service or after hours staff.
Refusing to do work due to safety concerns will be met with hostility. Suggestions are often met with deep criticism, you will be forced to do work to "company standards" even if it is in violation of safety regulations or MTO requirements. Being insulted for making a mistake or not fully understanding instructions is not out of the ordinary.
On-site used tires are not inspected and often older than the person installing them, especially the farm stock, it was not uncommon to have blow outs on used stock.
There is no training program, no benefits package to my knowledge and very little interest in keeping employees happy.
There were constantly "projects" on the active hoist and often you would be forced to work outside because of a lack of bay space including in poor weather conditions.
