Pros

The pay was among industry standards and the benefits were OK for a contract company.

Cons

The management (specifically the CEO) has no business handling a 5 year contract with the DoD. They can't even manage themselves. Blindly promote employees who kiss their feet. Provide no clear lines of communication and give no guidelines on what is expected from employees. Big egos and they act like it is your privilege to work for them. It took six weeks before I even had an account to logon and do work. The interview was misleading and I accepted the job with them. One of the biggest mistakes I ever made. If you have the opportunity to look elsewhere, I would do so.

Pros

I can't think of any

Cons

I have never worked for a company as bad as KSH. They like to portray that they are employee oriented, but they most definitely are not. The head of the Program Analysts group is unprofessional, rude, belligerent, and does not listen to anyone else. Their business philosophy is that you should be grateful for the privilege of working for them.

Pros

I enjoyed working here until I was fired without cause.

Cons

I mentioned to my PM that I had received an offer for employment that I was considering and that if I accepted, I would be providing my two-week notice within a few days. I thought a company that valued their employees may attempt to counter the offer, but this was far from the case with KSH. Later that evening, I received a call from my PM telling me I was being let go. This was a day before a holiday and I was told I would not receive holiday pay. He stated the division president made the call because a former employee demonstrated malicious actions to the company and/or government after providing notice. I later discovered that this reasoning was not likely the cause when my PM told me that the division president was having personal issues and was stressed. He stated that she did not want to deal with the fact that I may be considering other employment opportunities, so she decided to fire me. I filed a claim with my state workforce commission for termination without cause and it was determined that the company was NOT within their right to let me go and that I was eligible for unemployment benefits. Advice to current and potential employees, do not even think of discussing the possibility of providing two-week notice of resignation. If I was still an employee and was reading this, I would make the call of my resignation on the last day in which I wished to worked.
