Pros

more annual leave and sick sick than other companies, but you have to burn them for christmas

Pros

The buildings are new and the cafeteria is decent

Cons

I had a horrific experience and my career has been negativity impacted severely - the team is embarrassingly arrogant despite lacking in many ways, not diverse, makes biased assumptions without seeking diligence on facts, and is not open minded. The team spread discriminatory lies about me; no one cared to talk to me about it to find out the truth but happily spread the gossip among themselves. I was immediately assumed guilty. The leadership plays favorites and certain people are put on a pedestal despite being folks of extremely questionable character. Furthermore the leadership gossips to juniors, and the juniors spread the false statements to the next company I went to, where I was immediately discriminated against again, my role was taken away from me before I even started despite it being a simple, low level role that I intentionally took to recover from the traumatic experience at Hatch. I was then fired when I reported the discrimination as the investigation team uncovered the discrimination, uncovered how the gossip was untrue and had hurt my standing at the company, resulting in people at my new company losing their jobs, and then others retaliated against me to get me fired from my new company. Whatever you do, do not work for this company. It is a terrible company with poor ethics and integrity. The team is so insecure they do they spend time finding ways to hurt innocent people. Destroying careers is not beneath them - multiple people have left damaged and have had to leave the industry completely after facing the targeted, unsubstantiated, false attacks. Besides being arrogant and often just wrong in their analyses, the amount of made up lies, inconsistently in “facts” provided to clients, and data fabrication I observed was enough to make me question if this was a company I should grow my career at. The CEO is also not genuine. I did not find him to be a transparent or accountable person based on my interactions. Do not trust anyone at this company; your career will take a hit if you join and they will continue to actively hurt you years after you have left.

Pros

The pros are the team is excellent and company culture is really good 10/10. I find that the work hours and general work is also good compared to other places.

Cons

I expect this is as any company in consulting but there are times where deadlines are close and pressure increases, but no big cons to my knowledge.

Pros

Exceptional project exposure across major U.S. transit, infrastructure, and energy pursuits — the portfolio and client roster are genuinely impressive and great for your professional brand The LTK Engineering Services acquisition brought in a strong, collaborative office culture that is noticeably more grounded and people-focused than the broader Hatch Ltd (Canadian entity) culture Strong brand recognition in the A/E/C space that opens doors with major public agencies

Cons

Hired under the Client Action Team structure, which led to significant instability — multiple management changes in a short period with little transparency or consistency Overlapping time zones and regional boundaries create constant coordination friction; the flat hierarchy sounds good on paper but breaks down quickly when accountability is unclear and no one owns decisions Zero flexibility on in-office requirements — no hybrid accommodation even when the nature of the work doesn't require it Promotions are not merit-based. Advancement appears tied to visibility metrics like road safety observations and office attendance rather than the quality or impact of your work — deeply frustrating for high performers

A diverse and friendly company

Pros

Hatch's environmental division in eastern Canada is steadily growing. Colleagues come from diverse fields and are often a pleasure to work with. Salary is higher than average for the same position and years of experience. Despite the required 5 days RTO, it is not strictly enforced and they show flexibility if you have a justified reason.

Cons

Corporate culture is a little bit tacky and old school. The feedback or professional development system is still at its early stage, so growing your career lacks transparency.

Pros

Cafeteria is nice with big windows. Big emphasis on safety.

Cons

The company runs on gossip and hearsay instead of facts. There is no real support and folks will smile at you while backstabbing you in the back. They have no qualms in discrediting you personally to clients and your future employees if it makes them look better because they hand such a poor reputation, the character and integrity of the people at the firm is poor. The teams play favorites with clients, telling one configuration is possible while denying technical feasibility with another client to gain favor with the other client to help them keep their competitive edge. Environment is hugely patriarchal, with females hated or doted on, being called suggestive names by senior leaders. The internal fighting and politics is counterproductive and they routinely kick out senior leaders who invested their time and money into the company. Work wise, a lot of it is full of highly questionable deliverables. I saw one consultant draw a line in PowerPoint and then partners nod as it was present it to the client as a deliverable. Any challenges to improve the work lead to being personally discredited. I observed a lot of shady work done overall, with little business or ethical lines they will not cross. Spoke to John the CEO briefly and he gave non answers and showed no interest in my question. Team is always cutting people because they cannot sell business reliably.p as a result. Highly recommended staying away.

Pros

Superb workplace culture and professional environment. Get to work with world class experts on challenging projects - the place to be if you want to learn and grow as an professional. Lots of travel and hands-on experiences. Excellent compensation through profit sharing.

Cons

Very dynamic and often need to partake in multiple projects simultaneously. Long hours during busy seasons. Compensation is not exceptional if not in profit sharing.
