I have been working at Hatch full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Many smart engineers and projects to learn from Very technically challenging Many variance in opportunities

    Cons

Depending on group, many unrecognized ot (no bank, pay, or reflection in bonus) For example, I worked from 8am to 8pm for a month on a particularly demanding project and got nothing in return, with a week of staying up till 12pm working within that (worst month) but in general typically work 50 hour weeks with no banked time, pay, or fair reflection in bonus Culture is to work yourself to the ground with no... tangible compensation Expected to regularly work extra as a "passion" for work

I have been working at Hatch full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great place to work , great people, great opportunities to get on site and travel the world

    Cons

Not a good place to advance your career, you will make a decent comfortable living especially if you are a shareholder however if you are looking to advance your career you are pigeon holed

    Advice to Management

Retire some of the old management and bring in new blood to run the company, the industries dynamics have changed and Hatch is caught operating back in the 90's.

I have been working at Hatch full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Work life balance is great, very flexible. People are generally nice

    Cons

Not a lot of development, as they want you to be billable. So if you don’t know something, it will be hard to get the training. If they need a skill set for a job they will hire someone or work someone remote instead of training local people. I understand the business side of this so I am not upset, but it is a con.

    Advice to Management

Don’t have any as I think they are doing the best they can with what they have.

I have been working at Hatch full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

A fairly relaxing environment with nice and interesting colleagues. Flat organisation structure so you can approach anyone you like, not much hierarchy. A variety of projects to keep things interesting. A respectful, open culture, not too much bureaucracy.

    Cons

Somewhat disorganised, sometimes you feel like there's a lack of clear vision from management.

    Advice to Management

Provide young people with concrete career advancement opportunities and requirements from the beginning. Formulate a clear vision and get people on board.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Hatch full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Real respect for technical and intellectual excellence

    Cons

No people-centred values (no, really); primary focus is on maximizing the profit (at the expense of credibility, client value, longevity or employee recognition)

    Advice to Management

Re-consider the values and break the monopoly on power held by the CEO
