Pros

There are no good things to say about GWS, they lie and decive at every oppertunity.

Cons

As of last week i couldnt pay my rent and have to relocate beacause GWS left me without work on contract with no good pay. After working for a short duration i was left now without work for months with constant lies that ill get a project soon (it never happend). Have to find another job because this one destroyed me.

Pros

You'll adapt to getting your life's plans getting ruined to save margins of the company.

Cons

It's a long list, keep reading expecially if you're someone looking to get into this the industry. In somewhat recent years company implemented industry necessary trainings being carried out on your own expense. At first it was ~1000€ but currently its ~2500€ that are going to be deducted from your salary. Keep in mind that if you fail said trainings that are performed at companies own facilities you will still have to pay the bill. If you manage to complete the training your actual job starting maybe delayed and depending on the contract that waiting time can be UNPAID. When the job starts you'll have to have a some savings as for at least a rotation you'll be paying for everything from food to laundry without anything coming into your bank account. At said job you will have to adapt to conditions that are not as advertised or written. This is expecially obvious when working with colleagues who's english language proficiency is not even low but nonexistent. On majority of jobsites it's officially MANDATORY to understand english both in written and spoken form. In majority of the cases it's an issue with colleagues coming from turkish office who can't understand a word, that wouldn't be a problem if we're not working a job highly dependant on communicating. Be it lifting operations, instalation, mechanical or electrical you can't work safely if people who are working with you can't understand anything being said or written in work instructions. Another point is subpar requirements in roles requiring a formal education for example electrical works. More than half of the people working in them are not actual electricians, combining with previously stated language barrier it's a miracle nobody is seriously hurt or even worse. If your country has a GWS office you might get medical and pension benefits but it's highly unlikely if it does not, this results in almost half of your earnings going to cover them. Not even going to mention about safety standards or working conditions when project is located in Taiwan or surrounding area. Job isn't a certain one, between projects there can be months and if you don't have by the contract paid standby your finances will suffer not to mention if you have a family or credit or both. Projects can be abruptly stopped and you will sent home without any care or plan as what to do in the future. Salary increases are incredibly low expecially as of late with a new model that automatically "adjusts" without any salary talk, input from your side or room for complaints as before when you talked to your agent. All in all it's a place that will drain your energy, finances and personal relationships.
