Hi, Thank you for your review. We’re happy to hear that you at the very least enjoyed working with your colleagues. We strive to have a work environment which fosters collaboration and teamwork. However, we’re sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your time with us. Especially if you experienced sexism. We are on a learning path when it comes to uncovering our biases, which is why we have a Diversity and Inclusion Council, which is mapping out how GetYourGuide can improve and move forward in being a company where everyone can bring themselves to work. We always encourage to actively take part in the feedback and review cycles to ensure that there is a transparency about the performance of each individual and the team as a whole. Also, learning is one of our core values and we always encourage learning and career growth through 360* feedback rounds and talking with your manager about growth in your 1 on 1s. We strive to pay competitive salaries which are adjusted to the market rate changes through regular research done by our HR team and we conduct regular market research regarding salaries, to ensure that we are competitive with the market to the point of paying above market rate. Our OKRs help provide a clear direction for the quarter and the quarterly review process is a structured way for employees to provide feedback on these goals before the quarter begins. We have also invested in establishing performance review cycles, 360 feedback, and creating competency profiles for all employees, so everyone knows what it takes to develop further. Thank you for providing this feedback and best of luck in your future career. Kind regards, GetYourGuide

Pros

In reality, they are unreliable.

Cons

These are slippery people who have no regard for the "ethics" they pretend to on their site. Beware. Be realistic. New business with an uncertain business model and young founders with no respect for people or the law.

Pros

Amazing good people from all around the world, creates a very dynamic and good environment. Amazing parties, free flow of food and beer.

Cons

What they sell when you enter is totally the opposite once you're in; it looks like they will value your opinions and proactivity when in fact there won't be any space to grow or experiment at all; your job will be a typically 9 to 5 fulfilling the requirements for that day to achieve some goal defined by the CEO, there's no space for experimenting with new ideas, new technologies, new approaches. They will also sell you a "good life balance" and "relaxed working hours", not true; since I've been working there I always had to be there from 9 to 5/6 sharp, and even when you're 5/10mins late you'll have to respond for that to your manager. Basically totally the opposite you'll see advertised, be warned, prepare for constant layoffs and getting your wishes and desires down to earth with this management team; although they will try to sell you every Friday of the opposite, it won't be true at all. I've left the company on my own because I wanted a place to grow as a professional, and I wanted a place where the culture is as advertised; it's simply not honest what they put you through. Salaries are not that good for Berlin, and if you happen to work sometimes on the weekends or long nights, don't expect any rewards for that, not even a shoulder palm.

Hi, Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed working in a great environment with amazing multinational colleagues. We are really sorry to hear you felt your role was not as advertised. We always aim to ensure our job descriptions are as reflective of the role as possible to give candidates and employees a true insight into what the role will entail. Regarding salary, we always aim to pay competitive market rate salaries and conduct regular research to ensure we do so. In most cases, we pay above market rate. If we see that the market rate changes, we will adjust our salaries accordingly. Additionally, giving employees very regular praise and recognition for their hard work is extremely important to us and thus it is unfortunate you didn't feel that this appreciation was shown to you. We value your feedback and will take your comments on board. Best, GetYourGuide.
