- Salary is genuinely insulting. People with the same job title at TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, or even smaller boutique firms earn 30 to 50% more. You will feel underpaid every single month.
- Annual hikes are a joke. Expect 4 to 8% even with top ratings, while inflation eats more than that. Your real income drops every year you stay.
- Promotions are political, not performance based. People who suck up to managers move up faster than people who actually deliver. Strong performers get stuck for years.
- Management is bloated and incompetent at the middle layer. Too many AVPs and VPs who do nothing but forward emails and run pointless calls.
- HR is openly hostile to employees. They exist to protect the company, document you out, and shut down complaints. Do not trust them with anything.
- Layoffs hit randomly and brutally. They wait until your project ends or a client cuts costs, then dump you with two weeks notice and a fake "re-org" excuse, even if your reviews were excellent.
- Targets are designed to fail. Sales and ops teams get unrealistic quotas, then get punished when they miss them, even when the reasons are completely outside their control.
- Bathroom and break monitoring in some US sites is humiliating. Employees have reported needing doctor's notes for medical breaks and being written up for "work avoidance" over normal human needs.
- Toxic micromanagement culture. Constant tracking, screen monitoring, and metrics that treat adults like factory workers.
- The "learning opportunities" are mostly self service. You watch boring LMS videos on your own time. Real mentorship is rare.
- Career growth is slow and capped. Most people plateau at the same band for 4 to 6 years unless they leave and come back at a higher title.
- Job security is a myth that only applies until the client decides to cut budget. Then you are gone.
