You will get your hours, different routes allow you to see other areas you normally wouldn’t on your own, paychecks are nice due to the amount of hours you’re likely to work.

Cons

Overtime is after 50 hours, not 40 so even though your paychecks will be nice it could be better with overtime after 40 hours. Coworkers call in often, which tends to either cancel a whole route or move people around. Coworkers tend to not complete all deliveries and atm loads so you better hope you’re not on a route going behind those that brought back deliveries. Most of the fleet vehicles are in okay conditions but they often have to be worked on. They should be replaced with better newer vehicles but the company won’t make that happen. No room to grow within the company. As an armed courier, if you go solo at least 6 months out of the year and work 50+ hours per week, you’ll most likely make more than a salary supervisor position, so why move up the ranks when the base position ultimately earns more per year. No real work-life balance unless you work less than 10 hours a day. Would not recommend for new parents. Hard to plan things after work since hours will fluctuate.

none really, highest pay for most sites is less than or equal to minium wage, unlike other security companies. only pro I can honestly give is the people you work with. some are cool and they make it worth it. but besides that its a run of the mill meat grinder

low pay yes man supervisors long hours inconsiderate when life happens union won't help you, or if you try to get help from them, GARDA will just fire you or demonize you to your team, forcing you to quit due to all the harrasment. they care more about the bottom line than guard safety, finding a full time spot is hard at the start, they give you a uniform sure, but no information on how and where to get a placement. you have to find that out yourself and hope to god they answer the phone. Have a good supervisor? dont worry, they'll break him eventually ot force him to quit and replace him with a GARDA yes man that wont care about the team or their lives and what they go through honestly just avoid garda at all costs, other securtity companies dont hire guards from GARDA because of the lack of quality guards you get from GARDA.

The job has great pay if you wanna sit and do nothing. Most sites im at the client is amazing The training for gun was amazing and is really the only fun about the job ive had the past 6 months You get to work your own hrs and by yourself at most sites

The office here in milcreek used to be in sandy, suuuck at communication but try to blame the employees for their side. I dont respond to fill ins any more like i used to. I have done 3 yrs over all in security. I have asked for help to do national guard with garda but they cant even get ahold of the site manager. Dont do extra work that you arent getting paid for. There is no training for your site or anything. They dont teach anything to anyone really. Good thing i learned with a different company. Careful when you call cause your bosses will yell at you for no reason at all. Just got my neighbor a job here..she got hired 1 month after her interview and has been waiting 2 extra months to hear anything else but nothing and she already spent 300 dollars to get this job but nothing so she is leaving without getting a chance to be in the field. I do alot for this company and my bosses in the office......i have worked 6 days in a week and had 1 day off of working at 2 different sites as my main and i swear.... no recognition.

Pros

Great co-workers, tons of overtime 50+ hours a week on average. PTO, vacation and other benefits. They will provide you a level IIIA vest. Very interesting job. You meet a lot of different people every day.

Cons

Looong hours and routes. Many stops. 5 min tiime limit on average. Trucks aren't always in order or constantly need repairs. But I've seen the newer ones so they must of upgraded. Route could start at 0600 and you won't be clocking out until 2300 somedays.

This is by far the best company when it comes to work/ life balance and empowerment of management. They have great training for all employees and I see a great and successful career future!
