Pros

40% off black clothing for uniform

Cons

Where do I even begin? We were expected to have the floor immaculate during the day and at the end of the day especially. But this only applied to staff working Monday to Friday, weekend staff were allowed to do as they pleased E.g. stand around chatting in groups, not being pressured into the same standards as weekday staff. Countless Mondays I came into work and it’s looked like no one even worked in my section over the weekend and we were expected to clean up after them on top of our other duties every single time with no good excuse except for “they were busy” which doesn’t cut it as there is plenty of staff at the weekends they just can’t manage them correctly. I’ve witnessed other staff members being pulled left right and centre from their section to cover multiple other sections for months on end instead of adding one or two more staff to the rota to cover. Supervisors have shouted at staff and made them cry in front of customers. Some supervisors have got a serious issue with doing any work themselves and prefer to delegate and demand very simple tasks that they could easily perform themselves. Pay is minimum wage €11.30 ph or sometimes €11.298 if payroll decides to be cheeky. The wage is not fair for the amount of work you are expected to do. Myself and others were unfairly deducted over €60 “holiday overpayment” once we terminated employment with Frasers. I contacted management immediately but have been ignored for 3 weeks. I went in to visit my friends who still work there and some supervisors did not even acknowledge my existence with a simple smile or a hello. Disgusting and rude behaviour from grown women who are supposed to act as professionals.

Pros

Canteen is ok Discount is ok

Cons

I worked in the head office and it was awful. The people who were let go/left were the only reason I stayed for so long. A lot of the buyers, including my last buyer that's still working there, are bullies. Working here has severely impacted my mental health! The buyer that's still in the business used to shout at me and other employees that worked with him. People that worked with him have left because of him. When I brought it up with HR, they basically told me that I was the problem. There has been a lot of complaints about the buyers there and HR have done nothing to help their employees. The work load is unrealistic and you can forget about moving up the ladder! The only people still working there are the ones that are waiting for a good payout

Pros

Absolutely no pros to this company only the lovely co-workers. I do not recommend to ANYBODY!

Cons

Where do I even start. Management was an absolute disgrace altogether. They stand around doing nothing and shout out us so called “full timers”( even though when I asked for my contract I soon came to the realisation that we were on a part time contract), when we have completed the tasks they have DEMANDED us to do there is not a single thank you received. There is also no communication between the management as one would tell you to do different than the other? They spoke down on us like we were literal creatures for example, one manager literally pointed at her wrist and tapped its as myself and one of my colleagues entered the floor one morning to say the time, as if we didn’t know, bear in mind we were actually grabbing equipment we needed to start our tasks, she could of been an adult and told us verbally but then again that one manager barely spoke to me for the nearly two years I have worked there. Another thing the management tends to do is when they have a new employee as they just could not keep staff and they wonder why? , was when a new employee started they would be so sweet to them and just brush off the likes of me who bear in mind put up with them for almost two years aside and treat us ten times worse just because they knew we would stay, but when that new employee realised that the place was an absolute joke and quit the management would come back running to us being all sweet, it was the most vicious cycle that I can say sadly I was caught up in. At one stage during the time I worked there they just could not get a second fully flexible employee like myself in so I would quite literally have to clean up a massive section of the store myself for nearly a year. You’d think the management considering they were standing around twiddling their thumbs come to the section and offer help, no they didn’t they left me to basically do two person job, which at the time I was fine with but looking back after realising they didn’t even say thank you I regret so much, I should of gotten a pay rise? I was working two late nights every week Thursday and Friday and not a single thank you ever is just so unbelievably awful, they have no manners and accuse you of doing stuff when in fact it wasn’t you but the weekend staff. They would change your roaster without EVEN INFORMING you, and expect you to just check your roaster the night before? One day I actually came in at half nine because my shift said half nine when I last checked it and when I came in I seen I wasn’t in until half twelve???? The management have NO IDEA how to manage proper and at this stage it is getting out of control! Another incident that occurred which was significantly bad was I was covering a section of the floor that I don’t usually work in and I had seen two customers trying to rob, so I called on the radio for security, bad management skills again here there was actually no security in until an hour later so I proceeded to call for a manager, i had to call numerous times before a manager decided to speak and say they were busy and I spoke Clearly “ I need you now “ in a worried tone. The two customers ended up taking what was in their hand and after that the security looked back on the cameras and not only him but also all the managers SHOUTED at me for not calling for help? WHEN I DID!!!!! But there the managers there never wrong. I should of walked I of the job at that stage but I stayed for another while after that. That’s not half of what went on so I DO NOT recommend this position AT ALL to anyone thinking of applying to Frasers,
