Pros

Great purpose in supporting First Nations with implementing stronger financial management systems. Very well funded.

Cons

Very bureaucratic organization. Poor leadership. Seems like a great place to work at first however there is a very dysfunctional culture in this company. This is evident by the high employee turn over rate within the organization. Constantly changing priorities. Needs to be management training for some of the Directors.

Pros

Doing great work for the nations of Canada. Amazing coworkers. Lots of female leaders. Predominantly indigenous coworkers. Learned a lot about indigenous cultures and was embraced by all

Cons

A million trainings and nothing ever sticks, the company grew too fast and does not have any set on-boarding procedures, which makes for a confusing start. Feels like the blind leading the blind. HR doesn’t care about employee burnout and what led to it, nor do they follow up with you once back to work. Focus is on communication styles and personality types instead of solving the actual problems. Bonuses are not reflective of the time, efforts and work done. Disappointing because this could be a great place to work, but Director of legal team is short sighted and small minded, despite being very educated and committed to the company. Toxic work culture and this is proritized over finding the right person for the job
