A Good Company for Graduates (by a Consultant)
Pros
- Helps get work experience from big name companies. - Eases the transition from Uni or College to Work. - Provides additional training (subject to a 2 year minimum work contract) and now pays a base wage while training. - Expects consultants to be Geo-Flex but can be negotiated if you have a good reason to limit your role options. - Small benefits are offered if you remain past your two years, and some more if you pass 5 years.
Cons
- Could do with revising how they interact with and treat consultants with existing medical conditions. - Not all roles offered to consultants are always tailored for their training and experience, and right to refuse can be difficult sometimes if FDM lack trained staff for the role. - Salary on-site is additional to a base wage. The additional amount (a daily addition for work) is based on the role you take. This can make it very difficult to find roles with increasing salary to go hand in hand with your increasing experience. - FDM do not offer any core employment package beyond a salary, no benefits or health (beyond the occasional shares award to ). This may be different if you are going in as internal staff rather than as a consultant.
