The AD lacks clear direction and leadership skills. The department feels rudderless and there is no mentorship or advocacy for the team when challenges arise from other stakeholders. Do also expect long, demanding hours during events that are not claimable. The salary does not align with the actual workload, feeling like a significant "lowball" compared to industry standards. The management is problematic we essentially function as an execution arm for the projects team, rather than a creative or strategic department. There is a "cult-like" expectation to follow instructions without question. Management only follows direction from one team so there is clear biasness. AD also frequently shifts blame onto internal
team rather than addressing structural or leadership failures. There is also no clear career progression or professional development here. If you are looking for long-term growth and strategic autonomy, this is not the place for you.
