You have to be careful with the department you join. It can be a totally different experience because zalando is so big, and the same culture is not successfully enforced everywhere - although I reckon they try. Depending on the department, it can be a really toxic environment. There are heads/directors extremely unprepared for leadership roles - as if the only kind of intelligence valued is analytical and that seems to be enough to be a leader. There are many people with zero soft skills in high positions, and that unfortunately affects negatively the culture of entire departments.
