Pros

you eventually get benefits after a few months, raises are given on a timetable, organization on sales floor is satisfactory, hours are closely monitored so that you do not have to put in overtime, uniforms are required so you don't have to put on a fashion show.

Cons

some of the rules are taken way too seriously. they should be more flexible according to each different situation. lunch times should be given in a more timely manner and closely monitored so that all employees get equal opportunity at the correct time alloted. more praise should be given for a job well done and certain positions should carry some type of commission such as electronics.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
