Pros

Some really great people work for this company. The overall company culture is good but the work life balance is terrible. Compensation is reasonable

Cons

-Top heavy, managers to manage managers that manage managers. That is not an exaggeration, need to thin it out, and get managers that really care. -Everyone is overworked, and expect way to much of the employees. -Never feel like you are successful even when hitting numbers, it always seems like there is something you are doing wrong -Disconnect between the specialties, why have it so segregated? -Salesforce is a great tool, but there is too much of an emphasis on it. Many companies use it, but United Rentals abuses it. Unrealistic expectations, and everyone is adding fluff.

Pros

Excellent benefits and a plethora of tools ans support. Company truck for sales reps at $75 per pay period. It’s a very well known company so you get a lot of business from national accounts. If you can get your foot in the door, it’s an experience that’s worth it. No regrets.

Cons

Due to their size and like so many publicly traded companies, there is a huge disconnect on the expectations. My manager did his best but you could tell his bosses were asking for unachievable results. My sales manager was clueless at her role and no sales experience to lead a team. Things she would ask from us were counter productive. Not anything I couldn’t deal with.
