Pros
Other reps are often your strongest allies The commission is good (when you get it, more on that later) It can be a good first sales job.
Cons
Directors are empire-builders, they only choose certain managers that they can manipulate and who will put up with whatever. Lots of false promises of future promotion, temporary praise. Google sheets tracking your every movement Managers are pressured to track every minute of your day If you don't hit 50%, no commission at all that month. Its bad if you get clawbacks which will happen. If you go under 50% to target, you won't get paid. Lots of sudden decisions like recently where everyone was asked to commute 5 days a week, effective the next business day. No reason other than "we said so, and don't cross us or you'll get fired" THEY PICK FAVORITES . Promotions are based on who is friendly with who outside of work. No structure or predictability. Super suck up environment, people will rat people out, crush others for a chance in the spotlight Stay far away from the SMB division, it should unionize but everytime people have complained, they mysteriously disappear. You've been warned. Honeymoon phase is 3 months, then you'll see. November/December will be good, but January February you will suffer and be abused.
