Pros

The Stryker organizational culture, excluding Sustainability, is top notch in many areas. The company cares about their people and develops them internally. Demanding but rewarding job opportunities available . There are many great and talented people within the organization and at times will feel like family.

Cons

Sustainability Solutions culture is not representative of the Stryker brand. Senior leadership refuses to acknowledge reality and continues to focus only on "the numbers" despite a host of fundamental issues needing to be rectified. Unqualified leaders, incompetent in some cases, have been promoted into senior leadership roles above more qualified individuals and is recognized by most employees, resulting in lowered trust in the organization. Poor leadership exists across the board with a select few carrying the load of all. This has resulted in the recent departure of top talent and key organizational assets, leaving the business with little to no leadership. Senior leadership continues to ignore the reality and motive for top performers exiting the organization. Due to the poor leadership, there is poor direction for the teams with many often wondering what their roles and priorities are. Interim leader does not see the big picture, ignores the stark realities of the business, and continues to further disengage the team.

Pros

Direct leader was amazing. Working together efficiently and effectively.

Cons

After dedicating 8 years to Stryker, I was extremely disappointed to learn upon separation that only 40 hours of my accrued PTO would be paid out, despite having accumulated approximately 240 hours. What is most frustrating is that this was never clearly communicated during discussions with HR regarding my departure. Had I known this policy earlier, I could have made different decisions about using my earned time off. Employees invest years of service and should have complete transparency regarding how accrued benefits are handled upon separation. I am sharing this so current employees can educate themselves on the PTO payout policy before making career decisions, as this was an unexpected and costly surprise for me.
