Only want you to fit into Stryker mold. They aren’t interested in the individual, only if you can pass their personality test. Starting salary below average compared to competitors. Salary offered would be a stretch to even be semi comfortable.
- Who is your role model

I applied online. I interviewed at Stryker
Week 0: Applied online. Week 1: Received an email to complete a 15-minute Gallup online assessment (timed, and “strongly agree” to “strongly disagree” scaled questioning). Week 2: Received an email to set up a 15-minute phone interview. Week 3: Phone interview held, consisting of rapid-fire questions. Two minutes or so for me to ask questions. Ended with the interviewer requesting a follow-up Teams-based interview. Email subsequently confirmed this was expected to last an hour, aligning with Stryker's careers website information. Total interview duration: 18 minutes. Week 3-4: Preparation and more research. Week 4: Teams-based interview held. Same phone interviewer. They arrived 10 minutes late. Again, rapid-fire questioning. Focused on conflict resolution approaches, including how I dealt with negative feedback and how it would affect me (red flags). Interviewer appeared distracted and seemed to be ticking boxes on a device. After 10 minutes of questioning (including repeating questions covered in Week 3 phone interview), the interviewer repeatedly asked if I now had any questions, which I did. Ending the interview, I also asked for performance feedback. Interviewer suggested condensing my answers. This was confusing as Stryker recommends the STAR answer approach and, in this instance, the interviewer only questioned me for 10 minutes. Total interview duration: 15 minutes (not including the initial 10 minutes MIA). At this point, decided to turn down additional interviews. In the future, will not be applying for other Stryker positions (due to red flags and the above experience). End of Week 4: Received the "we have decided to move forward with other applicants…” email. Hopefully, this will assist other candidates or anyone interested in learning about the Australian Stryker process.
- How do you deal with conflict? What do you know about the role?

Il colloquio è stato semplice con le classiche domande, ma le recruiter non molto simpatiche, quando ho chiesto che tipo di contratto fosse previsto mi hanno risposto come se avessi chiesto una cosa assurda
- Come mai vuoi cambiare lavoro?

The interview process is lengthy. You go through nearly 8 interviews- 1 being the Gallup. Most candidates don’t make it past the Gallup. However, if you do your research it’s easy to pass.
- On a scale of 1-10, how competitive are you?

First round was a phone interview with a recruiter, general behavioral questions and questions about the kinds of projects you have done in the past. Was very friendly and gave plenty of time afterwards to answer questions you may have for them.
- Explain an engineering concept you have learned through your schooling.

Applied online, then get a call from a recruiter, the hiring manager's interview, third Gallup interview. It's long process, not very efficient, the personality test does not truly reflect a candidate professional traits. Personally feel it doesn't add much value.
- Why Stryker? Do you have a time disagree with you manager? What did you do?

The first interview with the HR specialist went very well. She was very open and professional, described the position in lots of details, answered all the questions, and even recommended another position that suited my profile and experience well. I received nice feedback, and we scheduled the second round with the hiring manager. It was one of the weirdest interviews of my life. Right from the beginning, I had a strong feeling that I was not welcome here. The hiring manager seemed very cold and not interested at all. The answers to my questions were very cliche, formal, and short. I was extremely exhausted after this interview and made the strong decision that even if they came back to me with positive feedback, I would refuse to proceed as this kind of corporate culture is not suitable for me.I do not know what exactly caused such an attitude, as it started right from the beginning of the interview. Maybe they decided to proceed with another candidate and felt that it was too late to cancel my interview. However, I believe it would be the best option to not waste my time or the time of the team.By the way, I did not even receive a feedback phone call, which is a usual practice for respectful companies after an interview with the team. They just sent a system-generated email without any concrete feedback. Very disappointing experience.

Interview process was very extensive. I had 5 interviews not counting the final interview with the Regional Director but you only get to that point if you get the job. The interview experience was great, just took a lot more steps than expected.
- They definitely want to know your competitiveness because that is what most sales roles consist of.
