Pros

Great client, stimulating environment, great hourly staff. Zero synergy. Being at a world class university and medical center was a privelage and I respected that. All the clients, my web of influence with them, made it a great place to work

Cons

Nobody was ever promoted from our account, upper management was absent, mid management was consumed with infighting. Profits were sucked out and no improvement or support put into our account. We received zero training, yet when we needed the support for any concerns the response was accusatory and hostile to say the least.

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. It sounds like you worked at a great unit but that there were a few issues that could have been addressed. Our management teams should be available to guide and support you, so if that was not the case, I would encourage anyone in that situation to reach out to your local HR director for assistance. Additionally, all managers have access to a wide variety of training opportunities, which are highlighted on the Sodexo USA website, with more detailed information on SodexoNet. While I do understand that culture will vary slightly from unit-to-unit, the experience you have described is not typical and should not have happened. Good ethics, cafeteria and good place to work in general. I would recommand you also have lots of benefits to work there

- Competitive or challenging to transfer or move up to another career in the company - very strict attendance policies - The company has been downsizing and laying off - Many changes in the last two years with staffing, system changes - Lack of transparency
