Pros

+ positive culture and community + excellent way to get financially educated, and we get to educate others too (they are fixing an injustice done where financial education is not taught in schools, and how insurance companies are ripping families off with the cash value junk) + allows you to work part-time without jeopardizing a full-time job elsewhere + excellent CEO and senior management leaders that have a vested interest in you succeeding + CEO and senior leadership speaks with the entire company every single Monday + purpose driven business that's profitable (we earn while helping middle income families) + worthy mission statement (To help families earn more income and properly properly protected, debt free and financially independent) + if you stay coachable and follow your upline/RVP, you can go far + there is already a system in place, you don't need to reinvent the whee + the entire company is on a crusade to help the public understand the importance and value of buying term insurance and investing the difference + high focus on financial literacy and education + minimal starting costs ($99 one-time cost to sign your Independent Business Application, which goes to your state for your state licensing costs.. it does not go to anyone in Primerica either.. it all goes to your state!) + only $25/mo to run your own business (details in next bullet) + Primerica pays for a large majority of required life and securities licenses that are state and federally regulated; almost a thousand dollars worth of licenses, training, software, your own business website etc, all for just $99 one-time start (in the U.S.) and $25/mo + home office of over 2000 employees in Georgia (HQ) to help with field calls, anything administrative etc; includes help desk support + such a positive and uplifting community (I've worked big-name corporate jobs all over the U.S.,and small firms etc for over 25 yrs and have NEVER seen anything more positive and better than what a company like Primerica offers) + opportunity to own your own business/agency + make your own hours/work schedule + you don't need an education or degree to do this + you can work from home via zoom and laptop + endless training and access to material and business partners to help you run your business + wide variety of financial services and products -- we are like the Costco of financial services (we are not just a life insurance company! we do investments too) + the company always does 100% what's right for customers, never what will benefit the agent's pocket or the company + at the RVP contract you get a 110% commission --- not easy to achieve but it is realistically doable if you are full-time, requires focus and sacrifice (like any entrepreneur must do) + many incentives, like a free ipad, all expense paid company trips for top producers to places like the Bahamas or Hawaii, $15k in stocks when promoted to RVP, free mentor calls with 6-figure and million dollar earners at Primerica + fulfilling work knowing I am helping families and people that I personally know (it has allowed me to reconnect with old friends, old coworkers, relatives who I never thought I'd ever get to this level of personal friendship with)

Cons

- if you're not disciplined, it won't be easy to well since you will have to parent yourself (this is typical for entrepreneur life) - if you don't know many people to talk with it will be difficult to start quickly since you use your hot and warm market (I've never done cold calling) - the company website is clunky (the good news: their long term plan to modernize their legacy systems is in effect; the PFS Investment CEO just spoke with the company last week to go over their strategic plan) - the company has a bad rap because many reps don't know how to handle customers properly and then they talk poorly about the company for not putting the work in or not even getting licensed to really now what they're talking about - not easy to find people to recruit because most people are lazy and too comfortable with their limited employee mindset, but this this where it's a numbers game - in order to promote yourself you need to get recruits, get them licensed, help them get their own recruits (to also get licensed), plus produce premiums on top of that--- it is not required (which is great) but the commissions are greater the higher up in the chain you go --- this is not a con but just saying that this isn't the normal way those with the "employee mindset" think - no LTC (long term care) service, although Primerica used to have it

Pros

Nice if you can make money by having people you recruited.

Cons

Mislead by being told about they have leads for you and that you will educate people about life insurance and other services. They are focused on recruiting.
