Pros
Some of the people are pretty cool.
Cons
Pay is so low that I barely break even after paying for childcare. While some departments are allowed to work 100% remote, other departments do not remote at all or are on hybrid schedule. The schedule you are on for frequency or days for remote work can be changed randomly and without your consent. You cannot move within the company until after one year, and your manager can opt to block you after a year if they so choose. Getting past the gatekeepers at HR is almost impossible. The job I do should only reasonably require a high school diploma. I couldn't get an interview until I had a BSIT. After earning my BSIT, I applied for tech-related jobs and never even got a call back. It's an MLM. Not this specific role, but you are basically working for the headquarters of Mary Kay, but for insurance. It feels smarmy. Lots of fake cheerleading.

Good Company
19 Mar 2023 - Senior Regional Leader in McAllen, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Positive Environment, All people genuinely want to help you succeed. Plenty of Training on products, and how to help clients find correct amount of coverage and helping clients reach financial goals. This is a great part-time side hustle until you apply yourself towards ownership. It requires self-development which is overall positive for everyone.
Cons
Commission structure clear up front, but company has made some changes for reaching Regional Vice President in major company structure changes on way to top commission levels at times, completely commission based but good opportunity to own business, constant recruiting because not for everyone, sometimes feel like you're spinning your wheels. Meetings and training can seem long at times, however when you are an owner you determine your length and dates for training. If you want to have achieve ownership without financial equity, this is is possible.
