Pros
You meet so many nice people! In my experience the managers were really nice but were 'firm but fair' when needed to be, which is obviously a good thing. If you're looking at a shop floor associate, there is lots to do and the managers usually let you socialise, just as long as you're putting in effort doing your fair/assigned bit. You are praised for your hard work. You also get to work on tills (could be for 5 minutes, could be for an hour - completely dependant on how busy it is when they call you on) which is a nice change from tidying all the time.
Cons
Some shifts you may just be folding t-shirts for a solid 4 hours which does get very tedious. Just before I left they bought in a new (old) system which made it harder to get overtime (which I personally didn't need as I had 2 jobs at the time but I know the other staff wasn't best pleased)
