Pros

Remote Office working is available in some positions and is highly recommended...its the one thing Nuance does "get".

Cons

Where do you start? Nuance has yet to hand out raises in over three years let alone cost of living increase. Bonuses? Forget it! They taunt you and tease you and tell you to work hard all year long...then rip them from under your feet and blame the economy and bad business. I guess its considered bad business when you double and triple your profits every single year. Don't even know where to begin with how upper management all look "down" and not "at" the employees and give you the "low-life" look. All of them got there from knowing someone...who knew someone. Want to see a classic company with the "good ol boys" still in tact take a look here. If you do decide to still work for Nuance your best off to follow these rules and expectations: 1. Keep your opinions to yourself. 2. Do as the company says...not what you think is better or right. 3. Keep your head down so upper management cant look you in the eye. 4. Work very hard and neglect your own family so it feels extra nice when you "don't" get that bonus or raise. 5. Never expect a promotion.......believe me...it wont happen. 6. Be prepared to get an insulting salary for what you are expected of. 7. Be prepared to NEVER get recognized...praised...rewarded....for anything! 8. Be prepared to be told the company has no money to fund your raise...repeatedly year after year...and then see press releases that Nuance just paid 500 Million $ for another company they have no use for.

Pros

The company offers excellent training and a thorough onboarding process, helping new hires feel well-prepared and confident. The small, close-knit teams foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where you never feel lost in the crowd. Employees take pride in the innovative technology and software being developed, which is recognized as impactful within the industry. (Note: The company was acquired by Microsoft to bring potential for future growth.)

Cons

While the company excels in many areas, there’s limited upward mobility, especially in certain career paths, which can be frustrating for those seeking advancement. Additionally, feedback from employees often feels like it’s not taken seriously, which can lead to disengagement when trying to influence change or improve processes.
