    Pros

Flexibility at work, good benefits plan, good environment, nice people. There is always fresh fruit at the office for the employees :)

Thank you for your review. We’re glad you are enjoying your work environment, benefits, and peers around you. After listening to employee comments and suggestions, we made several changes to the space, including updating the bathrooms, adding new meeting rooms, and repainting the entire office. We’re also excited to share that the renovated kitchen is scheduled to open in May – we can’t wait to hear what the Ballsbridge, Ireland team thinks of it. We hope the upgrades help make this a positive environment for you and your peers to enjoy.

    I worked at Nuance

    Pros

There are / were some great people working for nuance, they really make a tough job a lot of fun and help get you through the low times

    Cons

Really long hours for some teams became the norm, rather than hiring an extra person or even just a backfill, teams are pushed to their limits. A lot of great people leave as a result

    Pros

Good pay Speech market is growing Good at maintaining monopoly positions in markets in which they compete Interesting product set

    Cons

Very USA centric company which does not understand or support EMEA well CEO is narcissistic and out of touch Much of upper management are incompetent yes men (no surprise as this is the path to the top in this company) Constant turmoil in the organization, all good sales people are gone in 3 years Targets are set to justify overpriced acquisitions rather than based on reality in the field Regularly employs dirty tricks such as taking away an account or raising a target right before a large deal comes in to ensure that they don't have to pay commission to employees who exceed expectations Low employee morale in EMEA In a state of non-stop reorganization Heavily siloed and territorial Disliked by partners and customers Sales encouraged to stuff channels and cut corners Heavily bureaucratic Very little business intelligence Little focus on product quality Sales people are treated like parasitic infants rather than the experienced gateway to the customer that most of them are
