Thank you for your feedback, and I agree with some of your points here related to improving our office. Growing quickly and operating out of a compact WeWork office space has been a challenge to say the least. We are excited to announce that we’ve acquired a new 35k square foot office in Utah to enable our growth and build our culture in an office space which we can call our own.
As we move into our new space, we’re excited to launch live formalized sales training in dedicated training spaces, and manager coaching training in partnership with the challenger sales organization.
We now offer structured onboarding and have coaches dedicated to team members who are in transition between roles - from lead development who are promoted to sales development, and from sales development who are promoted to account executives. We do this to ensure that we’re offering support for employees who take on new challenges.
We make every effort to retain high performing people even if that means realigning roles early in their tenure to ensure proper ramp time.
Related to time off, you’re right - we do share a profound work ethic. One of our core principles is “act like an owner.” As such, we are supportive of time off so long as individuals are proactive in making plans to meet their goals. We set these expectations so that they can fully unplug from work when enjoying time off.
Another core principle we share here at Nex is “speak your mind (with positive intent).” I wish I had the opportunity to connect with you on these points before your departure, and I’m striving to build an environment where all Nexers feel safe to come to me directly with feedback. I apologize that I didn’t create that environment for you. I welcome the opportunity to connect with you now - feel free to reach out on LinkedIn, and I’d be happy to chat!
Sincerely,
Michael Zippiroli
