Pros
Good work ethics, decent salaries and overall good business stablity, but the mainstay business has become commoditized with single digit growth only. Great benefits. Good work/life balance. Still, really good people to work with on the front lines.
Cons
Lack of emphasis on training and cetification of employees' skills. No management support for career or project success. Can't do what you do best. Can't grow. Slow bureaucratic and reactionary. Outsourcing seen as a growing trend demoralizing those left. Those left are subjected to GE style "rank and yank" with quotas set for the "yank" category. Middle management embodies "inpenetrable clay layer" to bottom-up ideas and initiatives.
