Pros

As a resource to the company the only pros I see are the projects they get. Yes they make money for the company but the learning curve or the technologies that can help your experience is almost none.

Cons

The first and foremost think I find weird is the toxic work culture. A Company of this size and professionals of such vast experience should be able to treat their resource/juniors in a way that motivates them to work hard and achieve success for the company. But what I along with few others of my colleagues have experienced so far is the the arrogance of your manager/team lead or them giving orders considering us slaves to the company. The behavior I have experienced from the managers of different projects even talent relation team is very unprofessional in terms of dealing with us as a resource and even demotivating for me personally. The other thing I find very disappointing is their process to allocate a resource as per their skill. I have been in Infosys for 3 years now and each time I have been allocated to a project I had to upskill as per the project's requirement. Although it may sound beneficial but its like redefining your career path every 6 months. If you are joining Infosys on basis of your experience as a Cloud Profesional just forget that you'll ever be able to work on a cloud platform and be ready for Infosys to define your career path for you and that too every 6 months. I can give and entire list here but that'll feel like vetting frustration instead I just want to make things transparent for everyone who's due to join Infosys, just make sure to confirm your role and the technologies you'll be working on before joining. It's your career and only you have the right to take call on the path you want to follow.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies.
