Pros
-Initially great training -Great opportunity to master C Suite conversations -When a Client is engaged the conversations can be very fulfilling -Not bad base salary ( but not great either) -If you get a good patch with a client that likes Gartner, Can be amazing.
Cons
-Gartner only promotes from within which is both commendable but also leads to little variety in management style -Outdated sales methodology and metrics -Losses are never talked about or lessons learnt from them. -Reduction in territory sizes and generally terrible prospect accounts for AE. lots of rehashing of accounts to the unlucky new hires. -Amazing amount of churn which is never recognised as an issue. -Very little meaningful coaching from AM's. deal reviews and box ticking exercises mainly -Lots of internal meetings that are repetitive -need to be near Egham to progress
