After more than six years with Gartner, I have observed a concerning shift in the company’s trajectory. The recent two years have been characterized by frequent restructuring and layoffs that often seem handled with little transparency or regard for employee tenure. Notably, there appears to be a lack of protection for those on paid family leave, and the execution of these departures is often so abrupt that even direct managers are left out of the loop. It feels as though the current strategy prioritizes short-term cost-saving and lower-cost hiring over the retention of experienced, dedicated talent.
