Pros

The firm has a good benefits package.

Cons

The firm gives the financial advisors cart blanche to literally do whatever they want. They are often racist, sexist, and always ageist to their support staff (BOAs) The branch office administrators are underpaid and overworked. People that are looking for at least a living wage (base pay - bonuses are not guaranteed) should not apply for the BOA roles at all - THEY ARE NOT EQUITABLE. BOAs should really unionize to ensure fair treatment, cause they aren't getting it. Train non-managers/financial advisors how to interview candidates, they often have never had any experience with this because they have never even been managers or team leads. Offer training/career growth to other areas of the firm that are not financial advisors & branch support. They are not the only associates of consequence, although the firm really leans that way.

Pros

- Had a 100 year successful legacy business model - Financial advisors and staff in field branches have pockets of good cultures

Cons

- Home office culture is horrible and getting worse (cronyism, poor leadership, lack of care/focus for associates) - Regressive HR policies - Senior leaders are disconnected from reality - Consultants running amok - Poor pay and even poorer benefits (unless you are a partner) - Technology introductions and org changes have been botched time and time again - Company is way off course to achieve its long term goals
