Pros

Make your own schedule. High earnings potential. Developing relationships with clients.

Cons

Inconsistent policies all the way around. They claim that the client’s interests always come first, however, their policies say that the firm has complete control over client accounts. I recently resigned in a non-competitive situation, on good terms, and was disallowed from contacting a select few clients to let them know about my situation. Instead, they received (myself included) a letter in the mail vaguely informing them about this without any explanation. I reached out to a few to explain why I left, however, the firm believes that I no longer be able to have a personal relationship with any of my clients (my own family included!!!!). I have been called by current employees and bullied because of the decision i made to reach out to a few clients. This firm preaches that a client can make their own decisions about who they work with and what they own, but the firm also very much believes that they actually own a clients account, not the client themselves.

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
