Pros

- The people here are (for the most part) phenomenal, smart, and hard-working. - The weight that lifted off of my shoulders once I left.

Cons

- Everything else. They pay employees far under market value and try to justify this with a "free beer and pizza" mentality. It's demoralizing. - Salary negotiation is non-existent. I once heard a senior director say "I've been here for 20 years and I have never once negotiated my salary". Considering that more than 65% of the people who work here are women between the ages of 22-30, they are creating a culture that discourages young women to understand their worth and speaking up when they feel undervalued. - A core value of the company is "cost-consciousness" which is really just code for "we will never give you a livable wage and we will never pay for the platforms and services you need to do your job effectively." - Products are insanely expensive for travelers considering the haphazard approach that is taken internally to assemble them. - CEO is a billionaire who is out of touch with his employees and makes no effort to hear their concerns and fix the company culture. Toxic is an understatement.

Early career opportunities while having fun along the way is a big part of what we hope people experience working at EF, and we are happy to hear this in your reflection. Thank you for sharing your note on compensation as well. We review our compensation packages regularly to make sure they align with our industry standards, and we appreciate your perspective on that.

Pros

You get to choose your tour and recruit the students you want to bring. The paid chaperone ratio is 6:1, so it is very manageable. The tours are great and the local experts are wonderful.

Cons

Company support is variable. There is high turnover and new consultants are very sales motivated and don't always get the nuances of your school or community group. I have had some WONDERFUL concusltants, but they have always been promoted before I get to work with them again.
