Great company, great people, great career - Director of Sales EF (Education First) Employee Review

Pros

- energetic, passionate, smart, positive people who care deeply about their jobs - a culture of giving and receiving feedback to aid in professional development - travel opportunities - lots of responsibility early in your career - great office environment: no cubicles, lots of natural light, glass offices - we aren't perfect, but we are always improving and evolving. Every year, we are a better company than we were the last

Cons

- the culture is strong (which is awesome) but I think talented people who don't "fit in" feel that culture is more important than talent. The truth is they are equally important. - starting salaries aren't very high but as you progress in your career, you have the potential to make good money. Just be patient and do good work. Good work definitely gets rewarded.

Well this is what it's all about! Early career opportunities while having fun along the way is a big part of what we hope people experience working at EF, and we are happy to hear this in your reflection. Thank you for sharing your note on compensation as well. We review our compensation packages regularly to make sure they align with our industry standards, and we appreciate your perspective on that.

Pros

Large organization with all the associated benefits, still lets products operate individually which builds career autonomy and flexible tech stacks

Cons

Pace of work and lack of focus is unwarranted for industry EF is in, engineering can be disconnected from the broader business.
